Week 3 Lesson Plan

This next week we'll be learning about the the letter C, the number 3, and we'll start our "Health and Nutrition" unit. This week we'll be learning about how to take care of our teeth.

Alphabet time:

• Letter craft: C for Chameleon and c for carrot

• 3 Billy Goats Gruff flannel board story
• Cupcake decorations
  

Social Studies time: Taking Care of our Teeth

• Happy Teeth/Sad Teeth game
• Painting white smiles with toothbrushes
• Flossing activity

Story Time

• A Color of His Own by Leo Lionni
• The Giant Carrot by Jan Peck
• The Carrot Seed by Ruth Krauss
• First Visit to the Dentist and misc. other tooth care books

Music Time:

• 3 Blind Mice
• Brush Your Teeth
  

Writing time: Crayon rubbings of C, c, and 3

Snack time: carrot cupcakes, apple smiles, and C cantoulope slices

Remember to bring 2-3 items that start with C in your homework bags!
